Students at SUPAR (School of Architecture and Urban Planning) participating in a leadership development program called Lead to Succeed partnered with Layton Boulevard West Neighbors this school year.  The students worked together in teams to purchase and decorate three rain barrels for use at LBWN's Turnkey Renovation homes.  Through this work, the students gained leadership, citizenship, and career skills.  They sought out sponsorships to acquire three rain barrels, learned about the environmental benefits of installing rain barrels, and created beautiful designs that will enrich the Layton Boulevard West neighborhood for years to come.

SUPAR students have also partnered with LBWN to design, construct and plant a rain garden at a Turnkey Renovation home.  Supar is located in the former Walker Middle School at 31st St. and Mitchell St.  For more information about SUPAR visit there website at http://supar.org/ .
